Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit to Armstrong County Criminal History. Reading a guide, opening a page, or using a search feature indicates acceptance of all terms below. Anyone who does not agree with them should discontinue access. The site is a private reference resource concerning Armstrong County, Texas, and use remains subject to the limitations, prohibited purposes, and disclaimers stated here.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no affiliation with Armstrong County, the State of Texas, or any other government body. It and its advertising partners do not provide a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) decisions. The site only helps readers locate Armstrong County criminal-record resources. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently from every government office. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or files papers for a visitor.

Its guides identify the custodians of Armstrong County information, including the Armstrong County Sheriff, the combined County and District Clerk, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect readers to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information from this site or a linked tool to threaten, stalk, harass, intimidate, or discriminate against another person. Such conduct may also violate the law. Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Article 62.0051 addresses misuse of Texas Public Sex Offender Registry information. Registry access serves public-safety awareness and does not authorize vigilantism or discriminatory action.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A check needed for an FCRA-regulated purpose must be obtained through an authorized, FCRA-compliant source, not through this website.

5. No Legal Advice

The material here is not legal advice. General explanations of Armstrong County records cannot determine how a warrant, charge, conviction, or Texas expunction rule applies in a particular matter. A licensed Texas attorney can address those questions.

6. No Warranties

Everything on this site is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dismissals, expunctions, nondisclosure orders, and other updates can change a record. Gaps or delays are unavoidable, so site content must never be treated as an official statement from the sheriff, a court, or another government office.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

We link to sheriff's office sites, court portals, state agency pages, legal aid organizations, and outside search services across this site. Clicking one of those links moves you off our platform and onto one we have no control over. We are not responsible for their content, how they handle data, what they charge, or whether their site stays online. Check their terms before using them.

8. Intellectual Property

Armstrong County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Prior written permission is required to copy, distribute, modify, or build upon that content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from site use, including reliance on information found here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from any claim, legal action, or demand that stems from how you used this site or from breaking these terms. That includes covering our legal fees and related costs.

11. Governing Law

Texas law, including applicable Texas consumer-protection law, governs these terms. Any dispute arising from site use must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

We can update these terms whenever we see fit. New terms go into effect the moment they appear on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We can limit or block your access to this site at any time, for any reason, with no warning.

14. Severability

If a court rules that any part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest stand. The problem section gets adjusted only as much as needed to make it work.
